Re: Invion Ltd v SGB Jones Pty Ltd & Ors [2014] QSC 97 concerned the analysis of a case concerning breach of fiduciary duties by a director, which had important application in the context of director remuneration. It Involved discussion of the inherent conflict of interest when directors decide their own remuneration.

Re: Kisimul Holdings Pty Ltd v Clear Position Pty Ltd [2014] NSWCA 262; involved the analysis of defects in the affidavit supporting the statutory demand. The Court of Appeal clarified the test to be applied when considering defects in the affidavit, and emphasised the importance of deposing to the absence of any genuine dispute.
